Fifteen years ago, Trent Marsh began using his grandfather’s “duck hunting sauce” as the base for marinating lean London broil, creating a one-of-a-kind dehydrated sweet & savory beef jerky. Over the years, he continued making small batches for family and friends, refining the recipe into the delicious jerky we enjoy today.

Trent’s brother-in-law, Marty Kell, always believed that with the right marketing, this jerky could be a huge success. Having worked in the live event and concert industry since 1995, Marty knew how valuable quick, high-protein snacks could be for road crews who rarely have time to sit down for a meal while getting shows up and running.

In 2021, Trent joined Marty in the event industry, officially becoming a roadie himself. For years, Trent has shared his jerky with fellow crew members, and the response has been the same every time: “We want more!”
